Perceptual Robotics Secures £4 Million Funding to Expand Turbine Inspection Drone Operations
Bristol-based drone company adds Innovate UK backing and a fresh check from Investing for Purpose alongside follow-on from Loggerhead Ventures and One Planet Capital.
Perceptual Robotics has secured over £4 million (approximately $5.3 million) in funding as of July 28, 2026. The Bristol-based company plans to utilize this capital to enhance its wind turbine inspection platform. The funding comprises investments from both new and returning shareholders, along with co-funding support from Innovate UK, which is part of UK Research and Innovation.
Investors in the Round
Returning investors Loggerhead Ventures and One Planet Capital were joined by new investor Investing for Purpose, a Greek impact fund supported by the European Investment Fund through EquiFund II. Innovate UK contributed grant co-funding through its national innovation program. The funding will facilitate international expansion, enhance offshore capabilities, and support ongoing product scaling, as well as the platforms already provided to wind operators.

Perceptual Robotics Wind Turbine Inspection Platform
Perceptual Robotics specializes in developing autonomous drones and AI services for wind turbine blade management. The platform captures blade imagery, assesses damage severity, and generates repair-ready reports. This capability is delivered through its Dhalion DOT autonomous system and EVE mini-drone. The company’s product development is informed by continuous feedback from operators, service providers, and blade specialists, which has shaped its autonomous inspection systems and AI-assisted damage detection.
Since its last funding round, Perceptual Robotics has expanded its service coverage across Europe, North America, and Latin America. Its drones are utilized to inspect turbines in diverse environments, from forests in northern Sweden to Caribbean coastlines, and they service some of the largest turbines currently in operation. The company operates in over 18 countries and has processed more than 1 million images using its AI technology.

Perceptual Robotics intends to accelerate the release of new products with this funding. The company will also enhance its offshore support and work towards extending the service life of wind turbine blades for operators.
