The SKYLARK™ Series integrates the motor and controller into a single unit, catering to light and medium-duty unmanned . This reportedly reduces wiring, shortens assembly time, and allows manufacturers to either create more compact aircraft or increase payload capacity. The system is intended for defense, industrial, and commercial UAV applications.

Addressing Manufacturing Challenges

As drone manufacturers strive for faster production and simpler supply chains, the SKYLARK™ Series aims to meet these demands by minimizing the number of components required during production. ePropelled asserts that this approach enhances consistency and reduces the complexity of wiring and electrical connections.

The propulsion system is part of ePropelled’s broader eP Unified Architecture™ (ePUA™), which includes ePConnect™ technology. This allows the propulsion system to integrate seamlessly with matched motors, controllers, and intelligent power management systems across the company’s product offerings.

Market Focus and Compliance

ePropelled emphasizes that the SKYLARK™ Series is built using secure supply chains and complies with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for European and NATO-aligned UAV manufacturers and operators. The integrated architecture is designed to simplify commissioning while enhancing overall propulsion management and operator control.

Dean Marcarelli, Chief Commercial Officer of ePropelled, highlighted the company’s commitment to addressing evolving market needs. He stated that the SKYLARK™ Series is engineered to facilitate the production of advanced UAV platforms without compromising on reliability and performance.

Demonstrations at Farnborough International Airshow

Throughout the Farnborough International Airshow, ePropelled will showcase the SKYLARK™ Series, with technical briefings focused on high-power UAV applications and hybrid propulsion systems. The demonstrations aim to illustrate the capabilities of the new propulsion system and its potential impact on the UAV market.
