BRINC Partners with Public Safety Agencies to Enhance Incident Intelligence Capabilities
BRINC Partners with Nova to Enhance Aerial Mapping for Public Safety
Public safety drone manufacturer BRINC has announced a partnership with Nova Software Company to integrate advanced aerial mapping and data analysis capabilities for first responders. This collaboration aims to enable agencies utilizing BRINC drones to transform aerial imagery into actionable intelligence for emergency response operations.
Integration of Technologies
The partnership connects BRINC’s LiveOps platform with Nova’s aerial intelligence software. Agencies using the BRINC Responder can initiate mapping missions, collect imagery, and upload data directly to Nova for processing without the need for additional hardware. This streamlined workflow is designed to provide incident commanders with essential mapping products, data analysis tools, and operational intelligence to enhance decision-making during active incidents.
Expanding the Public Safety Drone Ecosystem
BRINC has established itself as a leader in drones specifically designed for public safety missions. The Seattle-based company offers US-manufactured indoor tactical drones, drone-as-first-responder solutions, and communication tools that assist law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency managers in gathering information while minimizing risks to personnel.
- Over 900 public safety agencies currently utilize BRINC products.
- The company focuses on creating an integrated ecosystem that combines aircraft, software, communication capabilities, and remote operations tools.
The integration with Nova adds a new dimension to this ecosystem by providing mapping and intelligence products that can be utilized during emergencies. Nova’s platform includes features such as live streaming, hotspot detection, panoramic imagery, real-time collaboration, and aerial data analysis.
Thermal Mapping with Guardian
BRINC’s recently introduced Guardian platform is a significant component of the partnership. Guardian is equipped with two radiometric HD thermal cameras tailored for public safety applications. When used in conjunction with Nova’s software, the system can produce heat maps and identify hotspots in near real-time.
This capability is applicable to various missions, including structure fires, wildfire response, search and rescue operations, and emergency management activities where thermal data is crucial for understanding changing conditions.
The integration provides a comprehensive aerial intelligence solution that combines drone hardware, operational software, mapping tools, and data analysis into a unified workflow for public safety agencies. This integration is now available for agencies already operating BRINC Responder systems.
