The Commercial UAV Expo has unveiled its conference program for 2026, emphasizing practical education and operational experience for professionals in the commercial drone sector. The event is scheduled for September 1-3 at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Program Development Based on Industry Feedback
Organizers of the expo have stated that this year’s program was developed based on feedback from the commercial drone industry. Earlier this year, surveys were conducted among operators, pilots, service providers, fleet managers, and enterprise users to identify their preferences for the conference experience.
The resulting agenda features over 50 sessions under the theme “Actionable Insights,” aimed at providing attendees with information that can be applied immediately in their operations.
The Commercial UAV Expo caters to a variety of industries utilizing drones, including energy and utilities, construction, agriculture, infrastructure, and transportation.
Key Themes of the Conference
The conference agenda reflects several significant themes currently influencing the commercial drone industry. Topics to be covered include:
- Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations

This announcement coincides with the U.S. drone industry’s preparations for the FAA’s anticipated Part 108 rulemaking, which is expected to facilitate routine BVLOS operations for commercial drone programs. Many enterprise operators are already developing workflows and safety systems in anticipation of these new regulations.

In addition to the conference sessions, the Commercial UAV Expo 2026 will feature an expanded exhibit hall showcasing drone manufacturers, software companies, sensor providers, and service firms.
The event will also include co-located programming from DRONERESPONDERS, a public safety drone event presented by the Airborne International Response Team (AIRT). Public safety drone operations are among the fastest-growing segments of the commercial UAS industry, particularly in areas such as search and rescue and disaster response.
The exhibit hall will include the Pilot Hub, presented by Pilot Institute, which will offer hands-on sessions and discussions tailored for attendees with varying levels of experience.
