Ondas Holdings is making a big move in the world of drone defense. The company has agreed to acquire Sentrycs, an Israel based leader in cyber based counter drone technology. This deal expands Ondas’ reach to more than twenty five countries and positions the company as a major full spectrum provider in the growing C-UAS market.

A New Layer of Intelligence for Counter Drone Defense

The acquisition centers on Sentrycs’ Cyber over RF system. This technology works at the protocol level of a drone’s communication link. It lets operators detect a drone, identify it, track it and take control of it in seconds. The system does this without jamming or spoofing. That means no collateral damage and no disruption to nearby communication systems.

Sentrycs has seen rapid international growth. Its systems are already used to protect airports, borders, critical infrastructure and sensitive airspace in many regions. Defense agencies like the system because it provides clean, regulation compliant mitigation even in crowded or complex environments.

Eric Brock, the CEO of Ondas Holdings, said the deal will help build a stronger and more complete defense portfolio. He explained that passive RF detection is now a vital layer in modern air defense. He said Sentrycs already operates in high risk zones, and that merging it with the Iron Drone Raider interceptor will create a full detect to defeat workflow.

The Iron Drone Raider is an autonomous interceptor that destroys or disables hostile drones. When combined with Sentrycs, operators get the full picture. They can detect a drone early, identify the model and intent, decide how to respond, then act. Ondas says this creates one of the first end to end counter drone ecosystems in the industry.

Oshri Lugassy, co CEO of Ondas Autonomous Systems, said Sentrycs adds intelligence and early warning capability. He said the unified system can be used in cities, around vital infrastructure or in harsh battlefield conditions. Operators can also tailor the system based on mission needs.

The agreement is expected to close in November 2025. Ondas will include full details in its upcoming filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Inside the Sentrycs Technology Advantage

Sentrycs brings a range of deployment options to the table. The company offers fixed stations, mobile systems, vehicle mounted units and tactical gear for fast moving teams. Everything runs on standard Intel hardware and uses Docker containers. This keeps the system flexible, easier to scale and simpler to integrate.

A big part of the company’s recent success is the Horizon Engine. Launched in 2025, this AI powered feature reads the radio frequency spectrum in real time. It learns and detects new or modified drone protocols on the fly. That helps operators deal with DIY drones, modified aircraft and fast changing threats. This is important because drone technology evolves almost every month, and threat actors often use low cost hobby drones that are hard to track.

Sentrycs is also known for simple setup. The system can be ready in about five minutes. Operators can use it as a standalone sensor or plug it into larger defense networks. The acquisition supports Ondas’ long term strategy of creating a unified system of systems.
