The PRS-M400 allows pilots to legally operate over people, adhering to stringent global aviation standards. Deliveries are expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025 through authorized resellers, as announced by AVSS.

The PRS-M400 is designed to comply with ASTM F3322 standards and integrates a flight termination system to ensure a controlled descent in emergencies, thereby minimizing risks to individuals and property below. This technology enables operators to obtain waivers for operations over people under U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107.39 regulations, as well as comply with Transport Canada’s regulations, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency’s (EASA) MOC 2511 and 2512 standards, and JARUS M2 mitigation requirements for Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA).
Building on AVSS’s established engineering from parachute systems for other DJI models, such as the M350 RTK and M30 series, the PRS-M400 features a lightweight design that maintains the drone’s 15.5-pound (7-kilogram) payload capacity, ensuring flight efficiency for various applications including surveying, inspections, and public safety operations.
