Poland Develops PLargonia: A New Loitering Munition
In response to the use of Iranian drones in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Poland is advancing its own loitering munition, named PLargonia. This initiative is being spearheaded by the Air Force Institute of Technology and the Autonomous Systems Center (OSA).
Design and Specifications
The PLargonia features a delta-wing design similar to the Iranian Shahed series, which has been utilized extensively by Russia in attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. This design is intentional, as it represents an effective and cost-efficient strike platform.
